Green displays
for the Blue planet

Sustainable consumption makes you happy - Almost 80 percent of consumers prefer to buy environmentally friendly and responsible, therefore Schoepe Display produces CO2-neutral displays for the PoS.

Even in times of pandemics, consumers place increasing value on social responsibility and environmental friendliness, as the figures from a current study confirm. Schoepe Display enables companies to sustainably position themselves or their products at the point of sale (PoS) - with displays from its CO2-neutral production in accordance with Greenhouse Gas Protocol Scope 1 and 2. The company from Berlin-Brandenburg has committed itself to sustainable management and introduced a corresponding management system.

Changed buying behavior
sustainability moves consumers

In times of the “new normal”, almost 80 percent of consumers prefer to buy in an environmentally friendly and responsible manner - and pay particular attention to their consumption decisions. This is the result of the “Sustainability in Consumer Products and Retail Survey” by the Capgemini Research Institute. 67 percent are even more concerned about the scarcity of natural resources than before the corona crisis. The increased focus on responsible consumption offers companies that can convince sustainably a great opportunity. Schoepe Display GmbH has been producing CO2-neutrally since January 2020 and thus its displays “carry” this green message smartly to the PoS and to the consumer. Throughout the entire manufacturing process, the holistic sustainability management focuses on resource-saving production, the optimization of energy consumption and logistical processes.

"The Gesellschaft für Nachhaltigkeit (GfN) from Bremen successfully carried out and certified the „social responsibility audit" („audit-gesellschaftliche-verantwortung"). This deals with the seven fields of action of ISO 26000 with their core topics and thus holistically the sustainability of economy, ecology and social issues. That was important to us because we want to implement a comprehensive and effective management system for social responsibility (CSR)."

Responsibility for the climate and society

„These guidelines help us in a practical way in everyday work in order to be able to act in an ecologically and socially responsible but also economically successful way. The immediate consequence: Schoepe Display GmbH has been producing completely CO2-neutral since January 2020. This means that we avoid or reduce our greenhouse gas emissions with suitable measures and compensate for the remaining emissions in sustainable projects. These are international projects in Kenya, Nigeria and India according to the Gold Standard as well as regional renaturation measures of peatlands as methane and CO2 storage through the MoorFutures project of the Flächenagentur Brandenburg."

Green added value for trade, people and the environment

If the „point of sale” develops more and more into a „point of sustainability”, then not only the environment and consumers benefit, but also industry and trade.

Finally, more than half of consumers (52 percent) stated in the Capgemini study that they feel an emotional bond with products or brands that they perceive as sustainable. Almost two thirds of respondents (64 percent) even said that the decision to consume sustainably makes them happy...
